This past thursday I went to the Where’s Mars? art exhibit at my Alma Mater Long Island University (Brooklyn Campus) I was mad at myself for not being more proactive at trying to show one of my art pieces at this exhibit. The exhibit is a tribute to Spike Lee and his impact on popular culture. Growing up I was a huge fan of Spike Lee and his films. In high school, I used to troop it all the way to his “Spike Joint’s” store in Fort Greene to cop some fresh gear and when I was in college I wanted to become a film maker and be the Dominican version of Spike.
